It was put up by one of the presidents of the Slaithwaite Cricket Club, Tim Garside, who denied that it was inappropriate and said that it was part of a long-running campaign to encourage more male Ale Trail participants to visit the club. “We have created both male and female versions so I don’t think that it is sexist at all and I also think that encouraging more people to the club will help ease the congestion that occurs on weekends when people on the ale trail come out of the station and head down to the village.” Click HERE to find out more.

Lets hope for some silverware thisyear! Anyone who wants to play come along and join in with the success. Everyone welcome!
The months best photo isgoing to this on the right.
This is because it reflects greatly the people of slawit’s
resilience to the battling weather (in his shorts), looking
after his child all in time that he still manages to get his pint…..just.
After 2 league games both the first team and the second team have
picked up resounding victories against strong oppositions. The
future looks bright for the seniors this season. Also there was great
news last week as the 1st XI beat Hooton Pagnell in the Lords National
Cup. What a great start and c’mon slaithwaite lets push on!
