Shepley seconds now at Hill Top on 20th June

As a result of yesterdays downpour, Shepley's Heavy Woollen Cup fixture has been put back to 20th June, which has resulted in the League Management ruling that the already delayed second X1 fixture for that date now, quite rightly reverts to Hill Top. Slaithwaite were already at a potential disadvantage, with Shepley unable to host the fixture on the correct date due to a "Spring Fling" - a day when the sun shone and our rivals at the top stole a march because of our inactivity. It is surprising that Shepley were not instructed to find an alternative venue on the scheduled date or of course concede the fixture, they chosing to swell their Bank Account instead of playing the game. Fingers crossed for a fine day on the 20th, and hopefully the opportunity to secure a victory.
